Working with the charity, we teamed up with the fabulous people at Adnams to put together an exclusive wine tasting evening. As with many of the NNAB events, it was well attended and guests had the opportunity to sample an Adnams signature Copper House gin and Fever Tree tonic on arrival, before tasting an array of fantastic wines, accompanied, of course, by a selection of local cheeses and biscuits. In true NNAB style, guests were also given the opportunity to try some of the wines blindfolded, to experience taste as someone with visual vision impairment would.
We are delighted to report that the event raised an amazing £600 for the charity through ticket sales, a raffle and the wonderful generosity of the guests on the night and all money raised will be used to fund activities for the children’s club and adult’s sports at the NNAB.
The team here are already planning our next event with the Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind – the annual Dining in the Dark, which we will be hosting later in the year – so watch out for more news on that!
