Fish & Chip Supper

On Wednesday 9th September, we hosted our annual Fish & Chip supper here at Brasted’s. The event was once again a sell-out with over 100 guests enjoying the opportunity to celebrate the heroic efforts of the local fishermen who crew the independent lifeboat at Caister on the North Sea. The evening saw guests enjoying a sumptuous fish and chip supper, Brasted’s style, with fish sourced by the crewmen themselves and entertainment in the form of local tales and sea shanties!

We are delighted to report that not only was this wonderful evening enjoyed by all, it receiving overwhelming support and raised a staggering £5500 for the Caister lifeboat, which is the first of only two offshore lifeboats in the UK that is independent of the RNLI.

So our heartfelt thanks to all those who attended on the night and did such a tremendous job of raising these much-needed funds for the lifeboat. A huge thanks also to the crew for catching our supper!
